|
|
| Most of our crews are one man with a robot and billed at $150/hr. Occaisionaly, we may send two guys to a site and I want to bill them at $200/hr. What is the best way to do this? Currently we create a "clone" of one person with a different billing rate, but this complicates payroll reporting. |

When you enter time, the one person simply clicks the second person that was with them so that heir time is in the system as well.
When you set up the users, you entered the pay rate and cost rate for each individual. I assume the second person would go in at a reduced billing rate of $50.00.
The problem is when you clone the individual, they cannot have the same initials so they show twice in the reports. The system is set up to not allow the same intials for different users. This is so as to not have confusion in a number of reports. We could turn that feature off but still remind you that the initials are already used to make sure you realyy do not have two individuals with the same initials in the system.
The other way of doing it is to have the robots set up as a disbursement. We could add a fourth category in the dibursements called hourly, so that when you select a robot from the disbursement list, and it is set to hourly, then the number of hours entered in the time sheet would be used in the disbursement as well.
However if you used a robot and a gps unit on the same project in the same day, you would have to enter two time entries.
Let me know which way or a combo of theses might work for you. |
